James Schindler: Senior Project Engineer
James, known to his colleagues as either James or Schindler (which is important when there are multiple people named James on the team), has been a dedicated member of the IT/Tech space for more than 13 years, with 12 of those years spent at Fairdinkum! He describes himself as loyal, a trait that likely contributes to his long tenure and his dedication to struggling sports teams.
A native New Yorker, James was born and raised just ten blocks from FDI headquarters! His path to IT began with a natural curiosity and a knack for technology, a common trait among those in the field. He recalls being the go-to tech person in his household and his early fascination with how computers and home technology worked.
James’s roots in the city run deep, especially when it comes to his beloved sports teams. He’s a die-hard NY Jets fan and has attended games with family since childhood. Despite the Jets’ playoff drought, James cherishes the family memories made at the games. He had the joy of taking his nephew to his first NFL game this past season! He’s also a devoted NY Rangers fan, a love that grew from watching hockey with his older brother.
When he’s not cheering on his teams, James spends his time outside of work staying connected with friends and pursuing his hobbies, including gaming with college friends and practicing golf. His priorities are his family, which recently grew with the addition of a baby girl. And we’d be remiss if we didn’t include his go-to karaoke song… “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers.
